Chelmund's Day - Sunday, 21st July 11am-3pm, Windy Arbor School, Woodlands Way, Chelmsley Wood

This event will be a day of fun to celebrate our local folklore and the exciting Saxon history of Chelmsley Wood!  It is being co-ordinated by Northern Star Community Arts an supported by Solihull MBC.

The day will include the following:

  • Cafe with performance area for music, storytelling and short talks
  • Art Exhibitions by local art groups including:- St!art, Stitch 'n' knit
  • Stalls and table top sale
  • Natural Heritage and Local History stall & activities
  • Information stalls for local groups and organisations
  • Entertainment including:- Children's Activities, Saxon & Viking re-enactments, The Wild Man of the Woods, crafts, falconry and much more!

Bluebell Community Gardens - Community Open Evening - 21st June 2013

The Bluebell Community Gardens will be opened in June 2013.  There will be an opportunity to plant seeds, design your own pencil case, have a henna tattoo and make your own smoothie on the smoothie bike!  Local residents and community groups can give their feedback and ideas of what they would like to see in the community garden.  The event is free and everyone is welcome.  Click here to find out more.

Come along and join in the activities on Saturday 20th July from 11am-3pm at Smith's Wood Community Primary School!

Big Local Summer Fun Day - Saturday 29th June

A family fun event on Saturday 29th June at Bosworth Wood playing fields, Auckland Drive, Smith's Wood from 12pm-4pm!

Family Cycle Rides 2013

Free led cycle rides for the family, starting from North Solihull Sports Centre at 10.30am, will take place on four Saturdays from June to September 2013:

  • 22nd June
  • 27th July
  • 31st August
  • 28th September

Adult bikes can be borrowed and under 14 year olds must be accompanied. Click here to find out more.

Solihull Active - No one on the sidelines

Peer mentoring and workforce development in sport is a priority within North Solihull, with a particular focus on Smith's Wood, Cars estate, Craig Croft and Chelmsley Wood.  The Solihull Active Team will offer a range of free training in partnership with a range of organisations.
